Happy Friday!

Halloween is right around the corner! And I am so excited! On Wednesday, Abigail went to her first zoo trip with her play dates Vivian and Bella! It was so much fun! She absolutely LOVED it! I enjoyed it too! With the exception of being bit by 20 mosquitoes! Ugh! They love me so much! I love taking Abby places. She enjoys it very much and I cannot wait to take her to the pumpkin patch hopefully tomorrow. I was suppose to go with her and her play date Vivian in the beginning of October but there were last minute plans so we ended up not going. Since this is the last weekend of October..I am just going to take Abigail, her daddy, and I! The weather has gotten a lot cooler and it rained a bit yesterday so I am so loving the feeling of "its almost the holidays". I love the holidays and I can't wait to show Abigail what its like to have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween and New Years!

Growing up, I've never had that pleasure in celebrating holidays with my family. They never really cared about it. It was more of a "here's some money, Merry Christmas" and that was it. I want to show Abigail many things in life and that's the love and attention that I want to give her..something I didn't have. I want to show her what its like to have a huge Christmas tree, with limited presents this year of course, eggnog (LOL), Christmas lights, wonderful Christmas songs (which btw I always listen to on the radio every YEAR haha), and just the many Christmas movies out. She will be 9 months by then and I know many of you might think I am crazy because she is pretty young now but I just want to do all of those things whether she understands the concept now or not. I want to continue doing it throughout the years and until I grow old and gray! I have no problem with embarrassing myself, being weird, being crazy all for my baby girl. Its the one thing I've always wanted in life and never received and I will make sure I put in 150% of my efforts to show her how a mother should be.

Abigail currently has two Halloween costumes. I made a mistake of buying an elephant costume at full price and I do truly regret it. They have so much costumes on clearance now its ridiculous. I did make her another costume for $6 bucks which is solely why I regretted buying the first one. She wore her second costume, which btw is much cuter than the first but I love both anyway, to the zoo! We took lots of pictures and I just got them developed yesterday. No, I didn't have no fancy, shamancy camera. I took them and just wanted to print them out for her scrapbook and memories. Her dad did want her to take professional Halloween costumes at JC Penny's. Well semi-"professional" LOL! But I'm not sure if its worth it. She has two costumes and I want to take full advantage of using both of them in pictures so we might just do it. I have family in a different state who are dying to receive hard copies of her pictures! I have been so bad at keeping those.

HAPPY EARLY HALLOWEEN!!

Until next time...

xoxo,
Nicole & Abigail

Sunday Funday!

 Coupon Brag
So every morning..I wake up early and have my own "mommy-time" and take my couponing trips. Nothing big just stores around our house. It helps me get out of the house by myself and get away from my two three babies (My dog, my DH, and Abigail) LOL! I love them to death but couponing is a ritual for me and makes me happy.
Anyway, today I went to CVS & Walgreens. It was a good trip. Nothing too great but I also stopped by Target and didn't see anything good there so it was a waste of time.
Walgreens:
TOTAL: $4.58
SAVED: $30.38
Received: $12 Register Rewards for next time & a Prevacid Coupon for $3off

Fun Friday Coupon Brag!

I am so sorry for the lack of updates. I have been super busy with school, my 6 month old, and just life. Weeks fly by so quickly that I never get to update my blog. It's always in the back of my mind but I never have time to do it. Full-Time School and Abigail really does take up so much of my time. But I love blogging. It keeps me sane. =)

Anyway, today I decided to head to Walmart and Target for some good deals. As always, Walmart's lack of items left me not getting some things. Boo! I think I did pretty good though. I bought a bunch of Gerber Puffs and Yogurt melts. It was Abigail's first time trying them today and she LOVED them! She kept fussing for more. We were laughing so much because we thought it was so cute!

Walmart Trip: Spent $.97 plus tax ($1.07 OOP); Saved: $22.00!!!
On this trip, I used my overages (which wasn't much..maybe $.95 cents max) and my $5 dollar off any fisher price toy coupon to keep my OOP low! I bought 2 packs of batteries - FREE plus $.03 overage, 1 pack of flash lights- FREE, Playtex Pacifier Holder - FREE plus $.02 overage, Listerine Total Care - FREE plus $.28 cent overage, Old Spice Body Wash - FREE plus $.03 cent overage, 2 Cover Girl Blushes - FREE plus $.52 cent overage! Every Overage counts! It's not much because usually items that produce overages are ALWAYS out of stock quickly. But So far so good on my trip!! HEY, I'm not complaining! I only spent a dollar and walked out with a toy for Abby ;)

Target Trip: TRANS#1 - Spent $2.14; Saved $10.14
I had an awesome find with the Lysol wipes! It was in the clearance rack for $1.77 and I had a $1 off coupon! Plus a rebate form I can fill out to get my money back! Woot! My Chlorox 2 bleach pen and Stain Remover Spray AND St Ives Facial Scrub were $.25 cents a piece! My Visine was $.64 cents! I am so in love! LOL!

 Target Trip: TRANS#2 - Spent $13.80; Saved $16.09
This trip I could have done at Walmart because majority of the Gerber stuff were the same price as Targets SALE price at Walmart. So it wasn't technically a "sale" but hey it's nice to have. Plus Abigail LOVES her Baby Mum Mum's so I was sure she would love her Gerber Puffs, Melts, etc. LOL My Taster's Choice Coffee pack was $.04 cents! My Extra Gum's were FREE plus $.02 OVERAGE!

Saving money is always great! ;)

& A fun Friday coupon brag!

This was from last Sunday. On the right side, is my Walgreens trip and on the left side would be my CVS trip. I paid a total of $25 dollars OOP and I saved about $139 not including the coupons I used just by what the receipt said which I've noticed does not account for the coupons you use so I saved more than $139 after coupons. =)

Abigail's 6 Month Check Up

So my babies six month check up was today. According to her pedi, she's growing right on schedule and her developmental skills are on time. =) I am happy about that since people use to tell me she will be behind on a lot of things since she was a "preemie" but nope! My late-term preemie is on time for everything!

She is currently 13.15 lbs and 26 inches long. She is such a skinny baby! I think she will be a long string bean ;)
She knows how to:
- Sit up but leaning forward..so not as good yet but the pedi said that was normal and at 7 months they should be able to sit up properly
- Roll over like crazy (this happened when she was 4 months lol and it just keeps getting crazier)
- Get on all fours and rock back and forth..she's trying to learn how to crawl so right now she has the concept of getting on all fours then she rocks back and forth...tries to go and grab for a certain item and falls back flat or rolls over haha!
- She's trying to hold things to stand up but hasn't gotten the upper body strength as of yet to actually do it
- Cooing like crazy and learned how to scream
- Climbing on top of me!
